NDP Leadership candidate, Mike Farworth, has issued his Valentine's wish:  a functional B.C. Government.  He says, “By April 17th we will have two new party leaders, and many unanswered questions. Some have suggested an early election, and I would welcome an election in September."

Farnworth says, "The people of British Columbia deserve a functional government with a clear mandate.”

The people of British Columbia deserve a Public Inquiry into the "sale" of BCRail ...

and with that, they'll learn how these priceless Crown assets could slide from public ownership into private pockets.

And how to eliminate the rot.

Imagine: almost a year since the B.C. Legislature was in session ... but stuff kept happening behind closed doors, all the same, BC-Rail style.

Public Inquiry now, please.
It must be nice to collect their paycheck and only have to work for four days out of about 280 ( I think that is what it is since they last appeard in Victoria), it has been a long time anyways...... I would love a job like that....actually I couldn't stand in front of a crowd a spew out what they do....I have too much pride in myself and respect for people.
I stand corrected 256 days....
Oh, but don't you know? Our MLA's are out there in the trenches, battling for us every day! Just because they aren't sitting on their duffs in the Leg. does not mean they are not hard at work.
(he said, with tongue in cheek)
Hard at work trying to keep from getting Recalled. (And not TO the Legislature, but to the REAL world, where those extra takings from HST and the Carbon Tax ARE felt.)
There must be one hell of a culture shock that takes place when these pampered politicians find themselves back on the street in the real world, after a beating at the polls!
It is really discouraging to watch our "alice in wonderland" political landscape be spun around in silly circles by recycled party clones.

There is nothing in this weedpatch worth picking and unlikely a new leader will survive the cannabals within their own group through to an election.

We as a province are doomed to our lowest potential with the continueing deterioration of our polarised party system run by dictators.

The only way to overhaul our democracy is to oust enough of the old guard and replace them with new independent MLAs who can represent their constituents.
