Prince George, B.C. -  Prince George RCMP were kept busy with a rash of break-ins, stolen vehicles and snowmobiles and attempts to steal these big ticket items over the weekend.

Between Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon, local RCMP opened 11 files dealing with the various incidents.

It began on Friday afternoon, when a black and pink 1993 Polaris snowmobile was stolen from the back of a pick-up truck in the 100-block of Nicholson Street.  A trailer with two snowmobiles was stolen from a home on Ellis Road sometime between 1am and 5am early Saturday morning.  The trailer was located a short time later near the intersection of Taylor Drive and Patricial Boulevard.  The two snowmobiles -- a 2009 red Polaris Assault and a 2010 black Polaris Dragon -- remain missing.

Also stolen over the weekend:  an enclosed cargo trailer and its contents from a locked compound in the 34-hundred block of Opie Crescent.  The trailer was valued at $7-thousand dollars, the equipment inside was worth more than $30-thousand.  Fortunately, the trailer was found later on the Takla Forest Service Road abandoned, with nothing missing from inside.

A 2005 Ford F350 was stolen from the 69-hundred block of Fairmont Crescent, and later found abandoned at the gravel pit off Otway Road with damage to its ignition.  Attempts to steal two other Fords were unsuccessful, but both suffered damage to the ignition systems because of the attempts.  Police credit an anti-theft device with preventing a 2000 Ford F250 from going missing in the 18-hundred block of Ingledew Street.  And the owner scared off a thief who was attempting to steal a 2002 Ford F350.  That vehicle had been left unlocked.  The suspect fled in an orange or red Dodge Neon.

There were also four break-and-enters.  One on Green Place that saw the culprit make off with a small amount of cash.  A business was broken into in the 700-block of Central Street East, surveillance video shows a male in a light-coloured hoodie.  Someone smashed a window in a residence in the 16-hundred block of Tamarack Street and stole a laptop, some jewellery and some food.  Finally, a break-in on Buckhorn Lake Road saw a satellite radio, snowboard and some power tools stolen.

As a result of both macro- and micro-economic impacts such as terrorism, globalization, high turnover among corrections officers, and a growing prison population, we need criminal justice and security professionals who demonstrate strong leadership and administrative skills in law enforcement, corrections, criminal courts and security, search online for "United Forensic College"
What???
Time to start dealing with the problem. Removing fingers is a good start. Posting their pictures is another opportunity to alert the community of another poser trying to rip off our family's and friends.

Forget the courts and the law, that is a waste of time. There is no real justice served there. Futile efforts for those who we have hired to protect us.

Remember when a bounced check was posted for all to see at a store. Time to re-visit this issue and expose these thieves. Names, pictures and warnings everywhere of those who continue to rip us off. Run them out of town.

Eventually, they will not be able to pick their nose let along a lock. Too bad for them.
I think we are at a point in time when society has to take control again.criminals are starting to run the system, and law abiding people are constantly having to change their lives to protect themselves from crime,ie anti theft devices pre pay for gas are just a couple of examples.

The justice system will not or cannot deal with criminals effectively, and society is paying the price.I believe drugs are the root cause for this and no one will deal with that problem, anyone caught selling any drug should be locked up-for a long period of time five yrs or more. and if the courts will not do it then i believe it is time for the public to take it upon themselves to deal with the problem.
A hoodie, well I'm surprised
I think its just too bad that that Ford owner on Ingledew didn't bring his shotgun out with him. He's probably wishing now that he had.
We should all have one, loaded and waiting by the door. Its going to come to that pretty soon. Just think of all that it would save in court and jail costs. End of problem.
