Cold Weekend But Still Lots of Crooks

Prince George- It was a busy weekend in the city inspite of the cold weather, here is a run down.
2011-4122: At approx. 0127hrs., Friday,18th February, Police responded to a B&E to the Mr.G's store, in the 5900 Blk. Gauthier Rd. Stolen were approx 60 packages of cigarettes, valued at approx. $600. Surveillance shows an older white panel van, with no windows, and one dark coloured door. A male wearing a red bandana, dark pants and a white t-shirt, exited the van and entering the business through the front door of the business.
2011-4102: Attempted shoplifting at Walmart, Thursday evening approx 2047hrs. Suspect pulled a knife on store security and ran from store. An off duty Police Officer apprehended the male. Suspect and his female accomplice were arrested and returned to Detachment. The male was held in costody and charges of armed robbery are being submitted.
2011-4138: Theft of a licence plate and decal. Plate no# 507-LCA, decal no# 31806304. Complaint called reporting Friday morning the 18th February , however she was unsure where and when it was actually stolen.
2011-4146: Male resident from Smithers, staying overnight at one of the Hotels on Central complained that he had parked his vehicle at the Hotel the evening of the 17th February, however it was missing in the morning. Police made a cursory search for the vehicle and located it locked and parked on Queensway with a different licence plate on it. This plate turned out to be stolen, but the owner was not aware that it was missing yet. The truck was subsequently towed and the owner was able to return to Smithers.
2011-4211: Home Invasion reported to Police in the 3600 Blk. of 4th Ave., Saturday morning, the 19th February, at approx. 0040hrs. A 24 yr old male living in the residence, called Police saying three masked males had broken through his front door into his house and tried to get into his bedroom, actually damaging the door in their attempts. Police attended promptly, as did a Police Service Dog, however no track could be located and the culprits had disappeared. Unknown, at this juncture whether this was a targeted attack or not.
2011-4221: In the early morning hours, 0447hrs, of the 19th February, complaint called stating his residence had been broken into via the living room window. The B&E occurred in the 3700 Blk. of Massey Dr., sometime within the last two weeks. Stolen was a 40" Sony TV, three Cervin-Vega stereo speakers, a Sony blue-ray DVD player and a silver Sony amp. Approx.total loss of $5000.00.
2011-4226: Theft of a Ford 2006, F-350 truck, between 0030hrs and 0700hrs, Saturday, the 19th February, from 4400 Blk., Stauble Rd. The vehicle is described as Grey FX4 Lariat, with black and silver rims and heavy mud style tires. Licence plate no# DC5928. No suspects.
2011-4225: Theft of snowmobile and trailer, from 2100 Blk., Sussex Lane, between 2300hrs and 0600hrs, the 19th February. Snowmobile described as a green 1993 Polaris trail deluxe indy, BCL: C57244. Trailer BCL: UPY77T. No suspects.
2011-4249: Theft of valtag,reported the 19th February, from complaint's licence plate. Complaint does not know when this occurred or where. Validation tag no# 28863203.No suspects.
2011-4327: B&E of residence in the 4100 Blk. Campbell Ave, sometime between 1530hrs and 2300hrs., Saturday the 19th February. Entrance gained off the back porch door. Jewelry taken.
