Prince George, B.C. – Prince George Mayor Dan Rogers says the City will be sending its congratulations to the soon to be Premier Christy Clark.
“We look forward to working with her and her Cabinet. We are eager, as I suspect a number of communities are, to move forward with a number of projects”
Those projects include the Wood Innovation and Design Centre “It’s a project that has been talked about a lot. We are eager to see it fully in place by the time the Canada Games roll around in 2015.”
He says Council will be interested in hearing what Premier designate Clark’s vision for Northern B.C. is as we move forward.
Clark won the Liberal leadership ballot over the weekend with her closest rival being Kevin Falcon. Clark has indicated her first priority will be to hold a by-election so she can try to gain a seat in the legislature. She also campaigned on moving up the referendum on the HST.
