Prince George City Council has voted in favour of going ahead with plans to build a mausoleum at the city cemetary.
The plan, worth $1.2 million, is covered under the city's capital plan, and includes a columbaria.
The plan suggests 100 crypts in the mausoleum, 500 niches in the columbaria.
The business plan presented to Council indicates the project would, eventually, generate funds for the city.
Construction is expected to start this year.
