The killer whale who biologists feared would die because he  was too friendly with humans, has been killed by a tug boat.

According to a story on the CBC,  Luna  went out to greet a tug boat earlier today, got too close, was sucked into the propellers and  was killed.  (see story)

DFO officials are heading to the scene. Known as L-98, Luna  was first spotted in Nootka Sound in 2001.   The DFO had been concerned about his welfare as it was thought his  attachment to humans would eventually lead to his demise.  Further information on  Luna's background can be found at this DFO site,  or visiting the  site that was dedicated to reuniting Luna with his pod.

What did anyone expect would be the end to this farce. Would everyboby be this be conserned if it had been a human that the whale killed? The attempts to reunite it with it's pod should have been allowed. It might not have succeeded but at least an attempt should have been made.
Political correctness is bullshit at the best of times.
What I would like to know is was this a total waste? Or at the very least was there some tuna made out of this fish?

later..........
A whale is not a fish. And it is not a re-incarnation of a dead human being, either. The orca should have been made to re-unite with his pod as was attempted by government biologist officials.
