Police Complaints Commission to Probe St. Arnaud Death

His widow, Rebecca Gingera says news of this new investigation is welcome "It is a good thing, although its not going to fix anything, still it's nice to hear that someone thinks the case should be looked at" says Gingera. She says she was surprised to hear the case was considered "closed" . "You would think they would let the family know that they have closed a case " says Gingera.
After reviewing the information presented by investigators, the Crown said charges would not be laid . (see previous story)
There is also a Coroner's inquest slated for this case, Rebecca understands that because of scheduling conflicts that won't likely take place until the fall.
By the time all the investigations are compete it will have been two years since Kevin died. "That's a long time " says Gingera, who says there should be some changes to the system "Police should not be trained to aim for the body mass, they should be trained that if they must shoot, take out the legs, at least that wouldn't be fatal"
