Early this morning, over the course of about an hour, Prince George RCMP were called to three vehicle fires.

In the first case,  just before 4:00 this morning, a Jeep Cherokee in the 100 block of Nicholson Street had its gas tank punctured and had been set ablaze.  The jeep was destroyed in the fire.   A witness had spotted a small white car in the area.

A little over a half an hour later,  police went to the 6800 block of Fairmont Crescent after a neighbour  had called police after hearing a loud bang .  Gas was pouring from a  vehicle that had had its gas tank punctured.  It appears attempts to light the fuel on fire had failed.  Again, a small white car had been spotted in the area.

Another half hour later,  police  got a call to a vehicle fire in the O'Grady and Parent Road  area of College Heights.  A Ford F150 was engulfed in flames.  Although firefighters attended the scene, the vehicle was destroyed. Once more, a white vehicle had been spotted in the area around the time the fire had started.

Police found a small  white car in the Highway 16 - Domano area around 5:30 this morning, and arrested a 35 year old man.  He is in custody.  Police are  looking at a number of Arson related charges.

If the idiot responsible for this STUPID behaviour is found to be minus a few brain cells I hope the media sensationalizes it as such - "dead brain cells result in apparent brain dead activities". Man some people can do stupid things.
After reding Ben M's editorial on how much info is appropriate in the news - I find it somewhat ironic that you would publish a "how to" on lighting vechicles on fire.
