A two day symposium  will begin later this morning with the arrival of Matty Wilson.  She will  take a symbolic walk from Massey and Ospika to the CN Centre, the final four blocks in her walk from Smithers that started earlier this month.

She made the long walk along Highway 16  to mark the death of her daughter, Ramona,  and the other young women who  died, or disappeared on what many call the Highway of Tears.

The  symposium has been organized in the wake of the murder of 14 year old Aielah Saric-Auger, her body found  off the side of Highway 16 east near Tabor February 10th.  She was last seen alive February 2nd.

The agenda for the two day  symposium indicates that in addition to keynote addresses by  Lheidli T'enneh, Carrier Sekani,  and the  Native Friendship Centre, there will be an address by Solicitor General John Les,  followed by a  question and answer session with  the RCMP, and later in the day,  families of  victims will share their stories.

Tomorrow, the symposium will work on establishing an emergency readiness team,  developing   a counseling and support strategy and  establishing reccommendations for  prevention.

Police are still looking for information on the woman  in this artist's sketch.

According to police, she has recently surfaced in the Aielah Saric-Auger  murder investigation.  Although not a suspect, she may have  information crucial to the case.  She is described as Caucasian, she has shoulder length straight blonde hair,  is about  5'5" tall , has a medium build and is about 30 years old.  Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crimestoppers at 222 -TIPS.
