And the deals are still rolling in...
Since 6:06pm this evening, 18 news releases have arrived at Opinion250 offices, signalling tentative contracts reached before the provincial government's billion-dollar incentive is removed from the bargaining table at midnight.
They're coming in every few minutes:
9:27pm UVic Lecturers reach agreement
9:48pm UVic Professional Employees reach agreement
10:02pm Agreement Between Capilano College and Cope
10:11pm VCC and Cupe Support Staff reach agreement
and so on...
The latest: a tentative agreement affecting 932 faculty members at Langara College in Vancouver. "This is the 49th agreement signed under the negotiating framework financial envelope," says Finance Minister Carole Taylor, "Eleven of these have now been ratified."
