Prince George City Council will look at two items that could mean more revenue for the City.
First, there is the first step towards changes to the Development Cost Charges. The proposal being presented would, among other things, tie development fees to certain areas of the city. In its simplest form it would mean buidling in older established neighbourhoods would cost less than to build in a new area because of the lower cost for infrastructure.
The other major item is an attempt to set up an Urban Development Agreement with the provincial and federal governments. There are already such agreements in Vancouver and a couple of other Canadian cities. It would allow for funding of projects that are on each level of goverment's list of strategic priorities, like economic diversification and community safety.
Also on the agenda for this evening's session:
-update on the fundrasing for the Northern Medical Trust
-request for support of Seniors' Advocacy Offices
-nominations for NCMA and FCM Boards
