New Name, Fresh Look

Now that Massey Stadium has been re-named to Masich Stadium, it is also time to give the place a fresh look.

Starting today, City crews will begin sprucing up the place.

The project involves replacing the walkway, deck, stairs and seating rows one through 6. These are the components of the stadium bleachers that have taken a beating because of exposure to the elements.

The new seating will be plastic planking, and the walkway and stairs will be repaired using recycled wood.

Massey, Masich, doesn't make any difference to me, but must be confusing to people from out of town who think maybe PG has two stadiums now?
At least it's one of the cheaper brainstorms that kept someone awake at night as it won't cost the taxpayers alot of money to change the last three letters in the name.

I imagine it matters to the Masich family.

Tom Masich is an incredible man, who has done more for youth through his unselfish acts.

Probably because he didn't spend all his time on websites constantly slamming the efforts of others.
