Prince George joggers, walkers, hikers and bikers can forget about using the trail between Cottonwood  Island Park and the Cameron Street Bridge, at least for the next three weeks.

The Heritage River Trail  along the Nechako is closed until June 3rd for repairs.

The three weeks will give crews a chance to make some repairs  that will stabilize the bank, and enhance the riparian habitat.  Some work had already been done over the winter with the installation of rip rap  along two stretches of the  river bank.

The work is being done in conjunction with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

Don't we already have enough riff raff without the City bringing in more?

;-)
Good news IMO
Good Heavens. All the dogs will be constipated before this trail is opened again.
Isn't 3 weeks a bit of a stretch? Considering our summers are usually only 6 weeks long anyway. Chester
