Cultural Diversification?

How does an unelected body get itself involved in social engineering?
Healthy communities?

The City had a healthy communities advisory committee some 10 to 15 years ago. It was disbanded because it was too difficult for people to grasp the concept that physical health was only part of the issues the committee involved itself with. Even some of the committee members had a tough time with such a wholistic approach.

Of course now that "buzz word" has just about run its course. "smart growth" is the jargon for it these days. It looks like the RDFFG is about to resurrect it.

I remember when it used to be referred to as competent community planning.
