School District Examines New Calendar

School District 57 will hold its monthly meeting in Valemount this evening, but will video conference that session to the Boardroom at the Ferry Avenue building in Prince George.

On the agenda, is the revision of the school calendar for the 2006/07 school year.

The proposal before the Board of Trustees would have spring break start Monday April 2 and run through to Friday the 13th with classes resuming Monday the 16th. You can view the complete calendar by clicking here.

There has been some concern expressed about such a long wait between the return to school from Christmas, and pring break but other plans also meant students had a few days in class, then off for Easter, then back for class.
