Prince George RCMP have made a respectable haul during the June Gun Amnesty across British Columbia.

Constable Gary Godwin says 23 firearms have been recovered by police from owners who called to have the guns picked up and destroyed. Godwin says many of the weapons came in as a result of calls to police from individual owners – but in two cases, there were multiple weapons surrendered. “Two batches; one with six, and four in another file,” Godwin says. “...a pretty good quantity of guns to come in at any one time.”

Godwin adds RCMP did not have a set number of weapons in mind to collect during the month-long amnesty period that ends June 30th. “I don't know whether we were expecting more or expecting less, but any weapons that are turned in we'll take them and destroy them so we're quite happy to have anything anyone wants to turn  in.”

I would like to see the records of turned in and destroyed Firearm..Just to prove to me that NONE of these firearms did not get into RCMP OFFICERS PRIVATE COLLECTIONS...Just a thought.
Are you kidding, they already have enough firepower to start their own war. They want us to turn in our guns, but more unarmed people have been killed by police hardware in the last little while than by any street guns. Sure builds public confidence ?
