The big buzz this  week  in Prince George is that Shell Oil has rented two floors in one of the down town office towers.

Not so says a Shell Oil company official.

Opinion250 wanted to make absolutely certain, so  we did a sweep of some of the major property holders and facility managers in Prince George.

Opinion250 was not able to find anyone who has rented any space, or sold any space to  Shell Oil.

Seems someone trying to get a jump on any possible oil drilling obviously got a rather good story going.

psssst ... it's Petro-Can

;-)
I doubt they want to go downtown either...
RE SHELL

DID YOU GUYS CHECK WITH THE OWNERS OF THE NEW OFFICE COMPLEX BEHIND THE BMO BANK ON 15TH & CENTRAL??

Of course we checked whether ANY oil company had rented space, and of course we checked the new plaza on 15th. Sorry to bust the balloon. No one has rented or bought representing an oil company and before that takes place we will need someone to take out a lease on where they plan to drill. They also will be asking for some of that millions in speculation money from the province . No takers yet.
The real story is that if this City is in such a boom situation, how is it that 2 stories in a downtown office building would be empty. My bet is, is that there is a lot more that 2 stories of empty office space downtown.

Oops not supposed to mention the downside.
