Autopsy Set for Bella Bella Child

An autopsy is scheduled today for a 2½ girl who died in Bella Bella on Friday. Both North District and Bella Bella RCMP are investigating, and the matter is being treated as a homicide.

Emergency Health Services and RCMP were called to the residence on Friday. Despite efforts by emergency personnel, the child did not survive.

A 20-year old woman, also of Bella Bella, has been arrested. No names are being released at this time.
