Fifty researchers, mostly from B.C. and Alberta, are in town for the two-day RiboWest conference at UNBC. The conference brings together researchers and students to share recent results related to genetic research.
The conference is an example of UNBC’s growing profile for teaching and research related to human health and development. Although it is only three years old, UNBC’s Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major is the third most popular program and the genetics research lab in the Northern Health Sciences Centre now has more than 20 students working on various research projects.
