Burning Bans Lifted

As of noon today the open burning bans on backyard burning have been lifted.

The Prince George Fire Centre says the cooler wet weather  has lead to the lift, however, any change back to the kind of hot dry conditions  experienced a little over a week ago would mean the bans could be reinstated.

The Prince George Fire Centre  advises  there is still a need  to check with Municipal or Regional Districts before lighting a fire within municipal boundaries.

The fire danger rating throughout most of the Prince George Fire Centre is currently Low to Moderate.
