One witness to the bus bombing said "I was on the bus in front and heard an incredible bang. I turned round and half the double decker bus was in the air"

In the wake of the four  London blasts, Canada's Foreign Affairs has set up a special phone line for those wishing to  get information on Canadians travelling in England.

The Hotline number is:  1-800-606-5499

Anyone calling that number should have the full name, birthdate and passport  number of the Canadian they are trying to reach.

The four explosions (three in the subway system, one on a bus) have claimed more than 50 lives, and injured hundreds more.

Here at home, Canadian flags are now flying at half mast in recognition of those who died in the terrorist bombings.  Prime Minister Paul Martin, in passing along Canadian condolences to the families of the victims said "The London bombings are an unspeakable attack on the innocent and on a way of life"  He promised Canada would stand strong with Britain against the terrorists.

The International Red Cross  was quick to offer medical emergency  assistance, but as of  early this morning, there has been no request for  assistance of any other kind from other Red Cross chapters.

Anyone planning a trip to London is advised to contact their travel agent for the latest information and travel advisories.

I don't think everyone should jump to the conclusion that it was Al'Quada. I don't believe its that simple. Obviously we have a larger political issue here involving Middle East policy that breeds this kind of generic terrorism.

IMO it all starts with the aparthide policies in Israel, as well as Israeli possession of nuclear weapons. This is the root cause of incitement against western interests, and not religious differences.

This is not a holy war, its a political war and we are on the losing side. We can't kill our way out of this with war IMO.

In the meantime I like what the British attitude is. Reporters interview the British in street side pubs next to the bombing location, and all they could say was that this does not change their way of life or daily routines. One guy even pipes up that this doesn't even scare him after 10 years of the IRA.

I hope the British set another example and fully investigate this crime, unlike our American counterparts that to this day have never had any public investigation into why WTC #7 collapsed even though it wasn't hit by a plane and was the worlds first steel structure building to ever collapse.

IMO Canada is soon going to have its own problems as we move our troops into Southern Afghanistan where the Taliban are on the move and Osama Bin Laden is reported to be hiding out. If Irans nuclear facilities get hit then we are a prime target on the front line.

Time Will Tell
Come on here, why do people even belive "al quada" (probably spelt wrong, but who cares) has ever existed? Either Bin ladden made that stupid name up as a joke and evry fool in the world fell for it or ol George W. created it so he had something to call the brown terrorists that sounded more politically acceptible. There are thousands of groups that would love to blow up those slimy Brits. Heck they could even be white guys, but please lets put al quada to rest forever, it does not exist.

Stay informed, intelligent, and most of all entertained, listen to the spankshow.
