Bear Proof Bird Feeder...Depends on the Bear

We are constantly being told to ensure our yards are "bear proofed" In this case, a cabin on Long Lake ( about 300 KM SW of Prince George), the owners have a bird feeder. To keep it "bear proof" they suspended the feeder on a clothes line. But this black bear, is no ordinary bear!

First, he cases the joint

Next, a little test. How strong is this line? is there enough time to chew it off
before that human turns around and spots me?

O-K let's try the old slide and chew....a little extra weight and a couple of bites
should bust this line.....

Just... a.... little.... more.......I ...can ....nearly....reach ...it.....

B I N G O!!! ( wonder if this bear's name is Yogi???)

Ben that is some awsome reporting IMO. I like it and we don't get enough of it.

It reminds me of a report I found a few weeks ago in Arizona where a guy got pictures of his mule attacking and killing a couger that was stalking his dogs.
