The City is taking the opportunity to say goodbye to City Manager George Paul at an event  that will also be a fundraisier.

The open invitation was issued today.  It’s called a "Community Appreciation Dinner"  to celebrate George Paul’s contributions to the City over the past 17 years.

To be held on October 27th  at the Civic Centre,  the dinner event starts at 6:00 and the cost is $40 dollars a person.  The event won't  just be "all about George" it will also provide an opportunity for donations to the Prince George Community Foundation ( George is a Founding Director and Honorary Director) or to the Prince George United Way as George Paul is the 2006 Campaign Chair.

In the open invitation, Mayor Colin Kinsley says "George’s dedication to our community and municipal government is immeasurable.  This appreciation event will highlight some of the many ways George has initiated, supported and advocated a host of projects, practices and relationships that have improved and promoted our City and community."

I wouldn't pay $40 bucks to eat with myself. Let alone anyone else. Goodbye , Paul.
Think about you guys....You can have dinner with all the big officals...and hob nobbers...maybe they will have an open mike....and you can really voice your opinions for real.....
Sounds great to me... I don't think those choosing not to attend are liekly to be missed.
What the city won't do to raise a little cash...this has to top it in my books...
