Prince George RCMP have sent out an advisory about two cases of "child luring".

In both cases, children between 9 and 11 years of age were approached by a man with a black dog.  Police say the man is caucasian or of mixed race, between the ages of 40 and 55.  He is of average build and height and has scruffy brown hair and a beard.

The dog is larger breed with  a shaggy black coat.  The man  may be linked to an older model white and blue mini van.

In the two cases reported to police, the man approached the children and asked them to "accompany him".

Police are  asking  for any suspicious encounters to be reported to school officials and the local detachment.

So, help us out here. Where has he been seen lurking? What kind of van? Tell us more about what he looks like. Give us a little more to go on and we will have a better chance of identifying him and reporting him. Chester
Says "may be linked to", not that he was...
and the description you got was about right coming from 9 - 11 year olds...better than some that have been given by adults I believe.....

I think the whole idea is to be informed that these people are active and to take your own precautions to protect your families...

Give the youngsters a password, if whom ever tries to have them go with them or follow doesn't have the word , they run away..and tell you.
It works! Better than you think....
Maybe if the guy gets caught they can give him counselling and maybe some dating tips so he can use them on women his own age. Kinda like the counselling Michael Jackson doesn't use. Shaggy black dog? Hmmmm? Arrest every guy with that kinda dog. Put them in a line up. Have the kids identify him. It works on Law & Order. AND it only takes less than an hour! Gee whiz. One sure can learn a lot from TV. Too bad our police don't.
How about a hanging in the public square, maybe others would get the picture.
