The "Mount Milligan" mining project has taken another significant step forward.
The mine has received it’s "Section 10" order from the Environmental Assessment Office. This order starts the clock ticking on a 6 month process that would lead to an "EAO" decision.
If this phase proceeds without any delays, construction could start as early as 2008.
The mine is a $600 million dollar plus investment and would employ 350 to 400 people.
