Prince George RCMP  executed a warrant on a known "crack shack" on Milburn early this morning.

35 people were arrested, searched, identified, and released at the scene.

Four people, including the tenant, were  taken to cells and are in police custody.   Officers have so far  located, crack cocaine, trafficking paraphernalia, stolen property and weapons.

Police say there is enough material seized to indicate  this was a very active location for drug sales.

Time to move to another location....right? Maybe next door to you or me. The cops spend tons of time and resources "cracking" down on a crack shack and they just move down the street or start up again at the same location. What's the deterrent? Will the crown even bother with charges? If the parties are convicted, what then....a fine, a day in jail, or both? It's like pushing a rat out the front door with a broom. It's just gonna find the same hole that it crawled into in the first place, then it'll breed and make more rats. What a bleak prognosis.
Not much doubt about the association between drugs, theft, assault and ?????. So, 35 people were arrested, searched, identified and released. Now what?

Any familiar faces? Or, just a bunch of unfortunate folks who got invited to the party and were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Somehow, I don't think that is the case.

Why were they released? What do you have to do to spend the night in jail? I am bewildered? Chester
Most of these folks will end up with less of a penalty then speeding or failure to ware seat belts.
I didn`t think there was a house in this City that could hold 35 people. I wonder if just 1/4 of them had vehicles. Street musta bin a bit crowded, never mind the house.
Gosh, Milburn?
Isn't that a couple blocks from where the new Senior Center will be located?
And 35 released back on the streets?
Wonder how many were under the influence of drugs-as they didn't visit the crack house to hold a Tupperware party!
Wonder if they strolled back toward the downtown via 20th and Victoria? And I wonder if they made their way to the crack house via 20th and Victoria?
What a wonderful location for a Seniors complex!
Not in my mind.
That's right. Let's blame it on the government. It's totally unfair to expect anyone to take responsibility for their own lives. Why would we, when we can always blame somebody else? Life is a choice. Choices cause consequences. Chester
