ERT Called to the Hart

A situation in the Hart overnight  brought out the RCMP's Emergency Response Team.

Prince George RCMP they had received a call around 1:20 this morning about an alleged assault with a weapon.  They responded to the residence in the 4200 block of Turner Road in the Hart.  When they arived, they found the mother had left the residence and the 17 year old son was inside.

Dispatch tried to  contact the  young man, but there was no response.

Police were also advised there were weapons in the house.   Working on the premise they may have  an armed standoff, the Emergency Response team was dispatched to the scene.  The negotiating team established contact with the  teen and the incident quietly came to an end a little after 8 this morning.

The 17 year old is in custody.  Police continue their investigation and details of charges have yet to be  released.

So the ERT doesn't just called to deal trailer park people. hmmm. Must have been pretty exciting for some people living on the Hart, and all hours of the night too.
