Once again, Prince George City Council has approved free parking in the downtown for the month of December.

Janet Morris-Read , the Manager of Downtown P.G. says the offer of free parking has been a positive boost for the downtown in past years and this carries on with what has become a seasonal tradition.

That doesn’t mean a vehicle could be parked all day without penalty.  While you won’t have to plug the meter, you will be bound by the normal time limit.  That means, tires will be chalked and tickets issued to those who violate the time limits.

Free parking, big deal. They could use the money to hose off George street and make it look more like Third avenue.

Cheers
