It was a  tense time at  the Prince George Airport this morning as a courrier flight indicated it was having trouble with it's landing gear.  The lights on the instrument panel indicated the left wheel  had not come down.

Airport Emergency services  sprung into action and prepared the runway for all possibilities.

The pilot of the twin turbo prop did a fly -by the tower so officials could get a close look at the Metroliner.  Visual confirmation was that the landing gear was in the  proper position so the pilot  made a nice and easy landing.

Two people on board, no  one hurt, no damage done.

The plane will now undergo  a safety inspection to see why the landing gear light malfunctioned.

The incident did cause some delays for other flights  waiting to land or take off from P.G. Airport.  Those flights were on hold for about a half an hour.
