This evening, for the first time in six years, Bill Christie will be looking at the School District 57 Chair from a different angle.
Christie resigned from the post as Chair last week, opening the door for the election of a new Chairperson at tonight’s inaugural meeting.
Superintendent Brian Pepper will Chair the session until a new Chair and Vice Chair have been chosen.
Christie will continue his role as an elected Trustee, but will not seek relection for the School Board in the next municipal election, leading to speculation that he may run for a different office.
