Highway 97 icy at 9.45 a.m. Tuesday

Highway 97 south of the city was described as a sheet of ice this morning by a patrolling RCMP officer.
A tractor trailer went into the ditch shortly after 8.00 a.m. two and half miles south of Red Rock, hitting a pole in the process. The extent of the drivers injuries are no known.
 At 15 mile road and 97 a pick up went into the ditch rolling over. Again the extent of the injuries is not known.
 Police say 97 south is very icy and until sanding crews can correct the problem drive with extreme caution.

I was out on the roads today and yesterday, and

I think that half of the drivers out there had never seen or driven on snow before....

Yes, road conditions could have been better but you would thing drivers would compensate for rough road conditions...

Not in Prince George they don't.... at least not over the last two days...
Low bid contractor trying to save money, cheaper for them if they take a chance on it melting.
