CN says  the investigation and clean up  are underway into a derailment that happened this morning about 100 miles south of Chetwynd.

CN Spokesperson Kelli  Svendsen says  17 cars carrying  lumber and wood chips, were off the tracks.  Two locomotives, about  2/3 of the way back, (for distributed power)were also off the rails, but there was no deisel spill as the locomotives remained upright. Svendsen says there has been no  environmental impact from this incident.

The two crew members on the train were not hurt.

So because there was no environmental damage I guess that makes it ok does it CN.

What is it going to take before you get with the program and fix your trains.......
A bus full of dead kids?
It would be so sad that it would have to come to that to get something done.....
You want to hope the govenment steps in and shuts you down pending investigation, or, better yet shut yourself down pending a proper upgrade and fixing of your trains.

We all know that isn't gonna happen....
my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a private company. Do you really think a bus load of dead kids would really make a difference now? B.C.Rail would have been accountable to the taxpayer C.N. is really not accountable to anyone. After all they have had accident after accident and not one single thing has been done to get them to clean up their act. We have no power over a corporation.
It sounds like there has been another derailment of 17 or so cars in the Bear Lake area.
I think maybe some calls to Mr Do NOthing Campbell or one of his mouth pieces might be an idea...
make them earn there salary...or at least overwhelm their secretaries...
Well I just phoned both the MP and MLA....

Nobody in town but was told that I might get a call back in time...

Maybe if we all make that phone call pf concern to your respective Mp and MLA we might , just might get something started to have at least a safety investigation or something going before something happens where there is some damage done...heavens forbid!

What say all?
Sounds good to me but, our local M.L.A.'s will not take my calls anymore. They know my voice from other things (Like the plans to sell our railroad) and don't like criticism. Good luck on the call back though. My suggestion is not to hold your breath. They are under gag orders from Herr Campbell not to make public comments on any sensitive issues.
Oh I am well aware of that....
but I made my concern heard...sort of...
but one voice won't get much done....

Phone anyways and tell them the call is being recorded.
Mine actually was..... nasty wasn't I?
