The Board of Directors for the Regional District of Fraser Fort George will hold its first meeting of the new year today.

The first item will see Denis Gendron sworn in as the new Director for Electoral area “A”. He was elected on the 13th in a by-election sparked by the October resignation of former Director Dee Burden.

There are a couple of presentations on the agenda. First, RCMP North District Chief Superintendent Barry Clark will bring the Board up to date on rural and small community policing.

The second presentation will be made by Spectra Energy ( formerly Duke Energy). The company will talk about it’s projects and plans.

Once again the meeting is being held “off site” as the Regional District building ‘s board room is being used by several departments which had to move out of their usual areas because of the sprinkler caused flood of late November.

The meeting today is being held at Exploration Place in Prince George.
