A 3 ender was too much to overcome for the Patti Knezevic Prince George team in the afternoon draw at the BC Scotties Tournament of Hearts – provincial women’s curling championship in Kamloops. Knezevic fell 7-6 to former World and Canadian champ Kelley Law of New Westminster. The Prince George Golf and Curling Club foursome scored 2 in the 4th end to go ahead 3-2, but Kelley came back with 3 in the 5th end to gain control of the game.

In other 5th draw results, Ashleigh Clark of Richmond downed Jill Winters of Nelson 7-3, Victoria’s Pat Sanders rallied from a 5-2 deficit in defeating Allison MacInnes of Kamloops 9-6. Sandra Jenkins of Salmon Arm reached the win column for the first time with a 7-5 victory over Maria Mallet of New Westminster.

The standings heading into the evening draw have Law and Clark sharing first place at 4-1, Knezevic, Sanders and MacInnes are a game back at 3-2.
