Highway Closure South of Quesnel

Highway 97 is closed at Kersley, south of Quesnel because of a fatal motor vehicle accident. Details on the crash or the victim are not yet available.

The alternate route, of French Road, is also blocked beause of a jackknifed tractor trailer. Police don't know how long it will take to have that vehicle removed.

Road conditions are poor because of the heavy snowfall. RCMP are advising you stay off the highways unless it is absolutely necessary.
