The teen dance at the CN Centre in Prince George night kept police hopping.

Prince George RCMP say they were called several times during the course of the event with the first call coming in about 7:45, a youth was arrested for being intoxicated and turned over to a parent.

Half an hour later there was another call to Police about an intoxicated youth being combative with security.

Fifteen minutes later, around 8:30 another call to police, this time about a very intoxicated youth, but the teen was transported by Emergency services before officers arrived at the scene.

At ten after 9, police were back at the CN Centre after a youth under the influence started a disturbance. That teen’s parents picked him up at the detachment.

Then, police were called around 10:15 to be on hand as the dance broke up.

In addition to the activity at the dance, police are also investigating a reported assault that took place outside the dance, as one youth was kicked in the mouth and back.

Ahh. Days of the Red Rock Rolla Dome, sigh.
10/4 Yammy! Brings back the good ole days :)
Interesting how ex-youths who were a little rowdy in their younger days have more tolerance for inappropriate behavior at what is supposed to be a dry event. Overall the behavior of the few has once again affected negatively an event meant to give teenagers an alternative to drinking.

Yama and Acrider I wasn't around PG in my youth but yes I too had some fun times in my haunt. I do wish though the teenagers who need to drink just didn't do it at one of the few events that is meant to bring out teenagers in a social setting and not drink.
future a**holes of prince George
Almost invariably, wherever there is a social event for teens, there is alcohol. I'm pretty confident there were also people at the dance who were under the influence of marijuana. It's even likely there were some on other substances.

No matter how hard you search, how strict you make entrance requirements, or how many rules you make, teens enjoy intoxication. This isn't cynicism, pessimism, or anything like that. It's simply reality. It's been reality for decades.
So true, Canar, so true.
There were a bunch of them lined up outside the new liquor store by the , get this, high school.... and you would be surprised at how many 19+ year old people who were helping out the younger ones....
3 that I seen...
yes it was reported...
I,morg has some strong opinions. There are those of us who were rowdy in the'old days' who have reformed, proof that not all of the youth he/she disapproves of will grow up to fit the description rendered. In general though, I agree with lunarguy, hate to see a fun event ruined by the few, but has it not always been like that? Anybody remember the 'mods' and 'rockers' they were pretty disruptive as I recall, but I bet most of them eventually got it out of their systems, to become boring straights, like me. Although I used to have 'adults' buy liquor for me when I was underage, I whole heartedly disapprove of the practice today (hypocrit!) It's not because it is against the law, I could not live with myself if one of the kids I 'helped' got into a car accident or something, because of intoxication.
metalman.
All true. Though i wouldnt call it hypocrisy (possibly because i cant spell it) to have grown up. Thanks god we tend to see the error of our teenage ways. If i could i would certainly prevent my son from doing almost EVERYTHING i did as a youth. I doubt i can do this so i will settle for trying to make him smart enough to do things safely.
I wouldnt bootleg either. Funny how things work out.
Hip, hyp, pock racy heap rock tracy hyprocisy, hippocrates, Heck I can't spell it either, but I seem to be one. It's also known as 'a middle aged parent'
