I would like to see some kind of effort put into preserving access points to local water points of interest before the next generation is locked out from our areas local outdoor recreation opportunities.

One example is Cluculz Lake that now has no public access to the lake with the Attic Campground now private. It is the biggest, nearly the closest to town, and one of the nicest lakes in the PG region and the public is now locked out from using that lake for recreation purposes. IMO that is unacceptable and a shame on the local planners for allowing that to happen.

Ditto for places like the Nechako river with is being blocked from public access more and more to the point where only a couple of useless access points to the river are all that remain.

Any investment in our parks is welcome, but I would suggest this is much too small and not near enough to protect our outdoor heritage from private developers that are making our outdoor recreation a thing of privatized access. It’s a shame and I’ve tried to bring this up with Pat Bell, but he apparently does not have the time to meet and discuss this issue.
Good point Chadermando.
We have seen a steady decline in our parks through out the north for quite a few years now.Obviously the B.C.Government under Campbell doesn't give a rats butt as they themselves have done more to downgrade them that any past government.
Moving to the private contractor management of B.C.parks has been a disaster.
They have never been in worse shape.
Local governments and districts need to wise up before we lose all our outdoor recreation facilities!
