Last Tuesday May 29th, 2007 three Canadian Amateur Boxing Title Gold Medals and a Gold Medal in Boxing from the British Empire Games were discovered to be missing from their case in the Prince George Sports Hall of Fame Gallery at the Museum.

These medals belong to Harold Mann, a local boxing legend and sports hero. “I am still in shock,” said Tracy Calogheros, Executive Director, “who would do such a thing to a man we hold up as an example to inspire our children?”

The medals won between 1958 and 1962 cannot be replaced.  The triumphs they represent cannot be reproduced.

The RCMP have been investigating since last Tuesday and their investigation is on going.

“I just keep hoping they are going to turn up on my desk, or in a post office box,” Calogheros added, “whoever has them needs to understand that these medals belong to Harold and to his family.  Please do the right thing and get them back to us.”

Anyone having any information is asked to contact local RCMP or the Museum.

Sad, sad, sad! A society with far too many disrespectful morons running amok!

Let's hope that somehow these medals will be recovered!
Disgusting! What a bunch of lowlifes to have done this!
Incredible!
I think a pawnshop is the answer. If the thieves have the I.Q.s I think they have , they will turn up. Some people have no class. Those are the ones the Mounties should shoot. They ain't never gonna be good to no one. Even themselves.
