A lot of new trucks and suvs are poorly balanced. When the point of gravity shifts, they can topple.
Maybe...but an awful lot of people seem to think their trucks are sportcars and are shocked to find out they handle like trucks. Not sure if that's the case here but, you do see many driving their trucks in an "untrucklike" manner. Glad no one was too hurt.
I used to live out past that S curve, and even though I drove it a couple of times a day, I still got surprised on occasion. It really needs to be straightened. There are accidents there quite commonly.
Slippery Roads?????
Slippery hands ???
Excessive speed + inattention?
probable. Glad no one was badly injured.
metalman.
I have driven on that road before. I didn't drive into the ditch. Did that vehicle have a "N" sticker on it? N stands fer nincompoop.
Excessive speeeeeeed!
I drive that section of road several times a week. The corner is cut wrong, it "tips" to the outside very badly, and the pavement doesn't go out far enough onto the shoulder. The edge of the pavement is very broken and it's easy to catch a tire. Do that and flip over you go.
hartbooks, all of that is true perhaps, but not if you are travelling at a safe speed.
It's a 60 zone (from 80). Changes right about.....there !
