By 250 News
Fire attack crews have been sent to the Robson Valley to battle a blaze that was started last evening by a lightning strike in the Robson Valley.
The blaze is currently 300 hectares in size and is located about 17 km southeast of Dunster, and 6 km southwest of Highway 16 .
There has already been some rain in that area, and more is expected. The fire is not threatening any homes or buildings.
Two other lightning caused spot fires were reported last night, one is already out, the other is in what the Fire Centre refers to as "Initial Attack Status."
Heading into the long weekend, the fire danger rating in Prince George, the Robson Valley and Tumbler Ridge areas is rated as high. The rating is low to moderate throughout the rest of the Prince George Fire Centre which covers the region from the Kinbasket Lake north to the Yukon border, Endako in the west, to the Alberta border.
