Prince George RCMP are advising   residents to keep their doors locked and to keep an eye out for suspicious people in their neighbourhood.

The reminder comes after two homes in the Westgate area were broken into during broad daylight on Friday.

Police suggest that in addition to keeping an eye open, burglar proofing  can be as simple as ensuring exterior doors are metal with strong locks.

Fiber glass doors are also very strong and look better.

There are no penalties if the thieves get caught, so don't try stopping the thieves. Just go to your neighbours house and steal whatever you lost.
Anyone think it's time to respond as boldly as the thieves. Time for a wake up call to those thieves who have lost all fear and have no respect for the property of others.

I would bet, if you took the law into your own hands to deal with them, you will be processed quicker and more severely than the thief you dealt with. Eventually, the law abiding, honest, peaceful individual will be driven to what most would say is an inappropriate response. Were getting very close I'll bet. Chester
