A perfect example of a repatriation of tax dollars to the local economy due to the presence of professional performing arts organizations.
Great news! All three are very deserving because they make life (mine, at least) a lot better.
Didn't the Symphony get a huge grant/loan last year because they were going belly up..
looks like there are still going there, sort of like throwing good money after bad.
Oh well I suppose there are three or four who have to have this....
Still not sure why I have to help pay for it though.....
Why couldn't they have taken the money from this for the study for the new PAC debt we are going to be saddled with? Another total waste of our tax dollars. Some people just don't undrestand that all this money comes directly from our pockets. When are we going to learn?
"..A perfect example of a repatriation of tax dollars.."

The repat I don't mind. The part I don't like at all is the fact they took the money in the first place! I would like a chance to spend my own money for a change. I wouldn't be spending much on arties as I don't find it interesting, but what I do spent my money on would have some artie making a movie about it. Kind of weird how people like to watch people that pretend to be the kind of people that don't go to plays.
This kind of financial support is needed to assist these organizations and help them survive. Having them operating in our community has a bearing on attracting professional's to our community to work and live. I agree, there is a cost, but it's money well spent I think.

I'm not aware of addictions, moral decay, family breakdown or financial devastation being a consequence of Arts in our community. Chester
