The  Norhtern Lights Festival that will get underway in Prince George in  late November has been given a cash boost by the Integris Credit Union.

Integris has donated  $5,000 to the Festival.

The festival  was created by Initiatives Prince George and will start November 28th on Connaught Hill in conjunction with the light up for the Festival of Trees, Downtown Prince George's Winter Lights, and the annual Civic Cenbtre winter celebration.

The goal of the Festival is  to  boost retail activity in the downtown area as well as  develop tourism activity.  The Festival will feature 10 major animated displays using over 200 thousand lights.  The festival will also encourage visitors to  head to the  Prince George Civic Centre after the tour of lights for hot chocolate, music, skating and other activities.
