Terry Fox Run Ready to Go

Prince George - Tomorrow,  hundreds of  residents of Prince George, will  be among the millions of Canadians and people worldwide  who will  take part  in trying to realize Terry Fox’s  dream of making cancer history.

The first Terry Fox Run in 1981 attracted 300,000 participants across Canada and raised $3.5 million. To date, more than $400 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research in Terry’s name.

Last year, Prince George had over 600 participants and raised over $20,000. This year  the organizers are encouraging teams to enter and Team Up for Terry, like the Load ‘Em Up Tillmanns women’s soccer team .

The run starts at 10 am Sunday morning at the Terry Fox statue  at 7th Avenue and Dominion.  The run lasts until 2 pm. Participants can run, walk, ride bikes, or rollerblade the 5 kilometre loop at anytime during those hours.
