Watch the mailbox,  B.C.'s Provincial Government   is sending  you a copy of the Budget Consultation Paper .

You will be asked how the budget  for 2008 can encourage environmentally responsible choices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

"Every day we all make decisions that affect the environment," said Taylor. "We need to ask ourselves, as a government, as individuals, what can we do differently?"

"Our tax system already promotes environmentally responsible choices," says Finance Minister Carole Taylor. "We currently offer tax incentives for the purchase of
hybrid vehicles, production of wind power, and use of bio-fuel. But we can do more.   While there's no easy answer to reducing emissions by one-third, step by step, budget by budget, we can set the course for a greener future."

Last year, more than 8,300 British Columbians took part in the budget consultation process.  The  consultation round starts  Monday in Dawson Creek:

Green? Give us some green as in money. How about tax cuts something the taxpayer can put in their pocket. Beware, I hear there is a carbon tax on it's way in the form of higher gas prices. Typical
Why waste time on the people in the north? We don't even have a handful of MLA's, so look in the delta where all the population is and make that green again. The little scattered population in the area of BC north of Hope is insignificant when it comes to votes, so that should be reflected in the Green focus. The farther you live north of the delta, the more energy you need to live, does that bother the massive population in the delta? Is that we are getting the green visit?
