In the past week, gas prices have fallen twice.

They slipped to 107.9, then  dropped another 2 cents a litre to  105.9

The decrease is a surprise considering the price of a barrel of crude has been hitting some new record  pricing  during the same time period.

According to MJ Ervin and Associates, the most recent Pump Price Survey  indicates  that excluding taxes, the highest price for  liter of regular is  in Whitehorse, where  the price before taxes is 97.8   Here are the  other top prices:

Yellowknife  97.2

Ft. St. John  82.0

Kelowna  79.2

Labrador City  78.0

Prince George  77.3

The Canadian  average   ( before taxes)  is  67.0
