Prince George, B.C. - Train In PG is hoping to draw to the button today and score with the World Curling Federation.
The President of the WCF, Les Harrison, (shown in photo at left, photo courtesy WCF) is visiting Prince George to survey the city’s potential as a training and pre-Olympic Games site.
Harrison says Prince George has a reputation for a being supportive of various events, and has a solid base of curlers to host events like the Scott Tournament of Hearts. “I look forward to visiting your curling club and having the opportunity to discuss ways we might be able to work together for the future.”
Harrison has spent most of the weekend touring facilities, but today, he will be at ice level at the Curling Club to take part in a fun Draw. Harrison will be on the Bill Fisher “Kelly Cup” winning team along with Mayor Colin Kinsley. They will take on the Frank Boyle team which has a combined curling experience of 116 years! That game is set to get underway at 1:30, the public is welcome to attend.
