First time thru the revolving doors? Hey, judge. Just give them probation. That oughta learn 'em.
Does anyone happen to know what kinds of sentences our courts are giving to people convicted of these types of offences?
Police had a search warrant. Were prepared. Had a pretty good idea who they were and when to nail them. Now what?

How long did they spend in jail? Can they be released? Do they qualify for bail? What is the process when they are caught red handed? Chester
It seems we don't want a lot of full jails in Canada like they have in the US. Ain't we progressive with our criminal justice system? Banish them to Baffin Island fer a few years. With a air drop system every month. Shoot them if they leave. That ought to cut down on repeat offenders.
Everyone qualifies for bail as a rule....unless they are considered a flight risk...these people will be easly to find, look for a new shack...
Actually, charles has a very good question...what ARE they giving for sentences for this type of offence if convicted?
What are the fines if they don't actually go to jail, which I doubt rarely happens!
And why do we never see the outcome in the papers?
Why do we never see the names of those convicted anymore?
Too many of them to keep up to,or a shortage of reporters perhaps?
Oh wait,I know...maybe it makes Prince George (and a lot of other places)look bad?
God forbid people should know the truth about what really goes on behind the facade!
Flight risk? It is to laugh. Is that why we have a province full of criminals with outstanding warrants from other provinces with no way or means or the dough to ship them back? A criminal could have 10 outstanding arrest warrants in each of our provinces and still be able to be in one of our two or three territories and still wander free to get into trouble.
It is true Harbinger, and it is sad isn't it.
