Two indoor soccer games scheduled for this weekend in Prince George have now been rescheduled for April 5th and 6th. The Edmonton Drillers of the Major Indoor Soccer League were to play a local team in a pair of games at CN Centre on December 1st and 2nd.

The Saturday game will be played at 7:00pm and the Sunday game at 1:00pm

The delay will help the local team as they will now get a chance to select the team by the end of December and hold regular practices leading up to the big games.

Sipho Sibiya, the coach/player of PGFC is confident  the postponement will benefit the team.  “Having the games pushed back gives us some flexibility in picking a team and gives us a chance to really promote the game within Prince George and its surrounding areas”.

Practices for the team started in October and Sibiya reports they are going well.  “The additional practice time gives the players more of a chance to really showcase themselves”.

Tickets that were purchased for the games this weekend will be honoured by Ticket Master for the April games or refunded.
