All of the streaks the Junior Canadian Team had going, are over.

They were beaten by Sweden 4-3  today  with the winning goal scored  with just 7 seconds left in the 3rd period.  Team Canada's winning streak  ends at 20 games, and  it is the first time  any Team Canada team has lost a game while wearing black .

The Swedes now have a 3-0 record in the World Juniors Championship and Team Canada's record is 2-1.

Sweden played a very impressive game. Canada outplayed Sweden in the first period, but Sweden outplayed Canada in the second and third period. Sweden looked big, fast and very skilled. Unfortunately, Canada's luck may run out in this year's tournament.
Sweden looked good. Ref's made a brutal call to put Canada on a 5-3 which Canada scored on to tie it up. Marchand (#17) got all fancy on the Swedish blue line with about 20 seconds left, lost the puck then loafed his way back and the player he should have been checking gets the pucks and scores. FRUSTRATING to watch that.. basic hockey.....

I predict this will wake Canada up and Canada will go all the way. They streak had to end. No biggie. The best teams always seem to face adversity along the way! GO CANADA GO!
